***2021 Tax Season – IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE***
Based on continuing recommendations and guidance from the CDC and the Department of Health and Senior Services, I am forced to limit in-office appointments to only those few that require an in-person visit, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I will make that determination on a client-by-client basis.
Although I will primarily be working from my office during the season, my door will be locked and I will not be able to allow anyone into the office without a previously approved/scheduled in-office appointment. I offer a variety of virtual appointment options (Zoom, phone conference, etc.) to meet your needs.
For returning tax clients Feel free to gather your documents in a sealed envelope/package and place them in the mail slot in the front door of the office. Please provide details of any change in address, phone, email, bank, or change in dependents – there is a form on the Tax Library tab to utilize to update your information. If you had any new tax issues/questions arise in 2020, please feel free to either call the office at 816-366-0463 or submit your questions through the contact tab on this website and I will contact you to discuss your current situation. Please send your name, phone number, and email address when you submit your inquiry.
ALL clients will need to provide me with the stimulus payments received in 2020/2021. There is a form available on the Tax Library tab above that you can download, list your payment amounts, sign and include with your paperwork.
You can also email me to request access to the online Client Portal, which will allow you to submit your tax documents electronically. My email address can be found on your prior year tax return envelope, my business card or via the ‘Contact’ tab above. I will also utilize this portal to deliver the completed returns, but your documents and returns will NOT be stored once they have been delivered/downloaded.
For new clients, please either send me an email through the Contact page on this website or call the office at 816-366-0463 to make arrangements to open your tax file and get your documents to me for processing. You can download the Client Organizer, CARES Act Stimulus Payments form, Tax Appointment Checklist from the Tax Library tab above. I will also need a copy of your last year’s return, and your current ID to process your current year’s tax return.
Please know that I did not make this decision lightly. This decision was made with the health and well-being of my clients, our families and myself in mind. A great deal of care, research and planning helped guide this decision. I will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and will open up to in-office appointments as soon as it becomes safe to do so.
You can find client information, stimulus payment, and tax organizers/checklists on my Resources tab, as well as the Tax Library tab above.
